70s feel in 2016

So even though we aren't all peace and love anymore, some of us still want to feel that vibe and express it in our day to day. If you haven't noticed already I am all about neutrals, they're kind of my thing. I'm all about easy, simple outfits for a heck of a deal, so let me tell you about this one! I got this shirt at the Loft on sale recently, and the jeans were at Gap for $5.88! The shoes I got at Nordstrom some time ago but there are lots of similar styles out there, plus they go with everything so they're a staple in my book! I got to spend some time in a local Japanese flower garden and it was so serene I wanted to stay there for a couple of days, BUT duty calls! I love to look at beautiful things and be surrounded by beauty because it reminds me of where I was 8 months ago, doing heroin, broke, depressed, lifeless. I always say I couldn't even see the colors on the trees or plants because it was all just grey, if it wasn't drugs or a path for me to get my dope I didn't care. But sitting in this garden in awe of all the beauty and color surrounding me, just reminded me how blessed I am to have the life I do today, it may not be perfect but it is so much better than where I was before and for that I am thankful❤️
